The Delaware Valley Regional Planning commission and the GreenSpace Alliance recently released a study that supports the message The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County has been communicating for some time now regarding the value of open space in our community.

"More than just pretty places, preserved open spaces contribute to our local economies and property values, they help us save on everything from health care to recreation, and they perform valuable ecosystem services that naturally improve the air we breathe and the water we drink. These are the messages that the new study documents and will be used to convey to the public ....CLICK FOR MORE INFO.

The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County has several volunteer opportunities

Support us by assisting with projects and special events, land/trail maintenance on scheduled volunteer work days, or office assistance

All of our preserves can be enjoyed year round.  During the winter, the Stateline Woods is a great place to snowshoe and cross country ski!

The State Line Wood Preserve has been named an Important Bird Area by the Audubon Society.  In partnership with our sister preserve, Bucktoe Creek Preserve, we offer several bird watching programs each year.

Hawk Watch at Bucktoe Creek Preserve, Bucktoe Bird Blitz, Woodcocks on display and hawk watch are just a few of our programs for bird lovers.
