Mary was involved in conservation long before she was aware. She rode horses at one of the first preserves in her area while growing up in Connecticut but it had never dawned on her what conservation really meant until working at TLC. Since then, she has been inspired by and thankful for the ‘power-house’ conservationists whom without we would not have access to woods and trails. Mary loves being a part of TLC’s work, emphasizing that “they will build houses everywhere if you let them,” and encourages everyone to enjoy the trails even if simply taking your dog for a walk.
Mary holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice and has decades of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and office management. Having love for nature, she served as a veterinary technician for an equine center in Delaware as well as a veterinarian for small animals.
Mary resides in Unionville with her husband Allan, dog Skyler, and 16-year-old iguana Bud.
