Wine & Cheese Owl Prowl

Barred Owl

Barred Owl

Early Bird Nature Tours is pleased to announce a special owl prowl featuring a Celtic harp performance by professional musician Pam Dimeler. (Pam is a member of the Brandywine Harp Orchestra (BHO) which was the first American Celtic harp orchestra to perform at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival in the event’s 29-year history. She and BHO have also performed with Kennett Symphony at Longwood Gardens.)

Local wine maker, Tom Zunino, will also be joining us around the bonfire to offer a taste of his new wines. Flavors will include additional wines, coffee, Mad Dog 20/20, warm apple cider from Barnard’s Orchard, crackers, fruits, and cheeses — some from local Doe Run Farms.

After the tasting and special performance, we will venture out in search of the Barred, Screech, and Great Horned Owls that inhabit the preserve.

This special event will be attended by very specials guests! Owners of Bucktoe Creek Preserve — Tom Brokaw, Margaretta Brokaw, and Maggie Brokaw — will be joining us for an evening filled with music, wine, cheese, and owls.
